Stockton Metropolitan Airport

Famed as "primary commercial service airport", Stockton Metropolitan Airport provides non-stop services to Las Vegas, Mesa, Phoenix, Honolulu, and many more big cities in and around the United States. Sprawling across 1,552 acres of land, the airport is served by two asphalt runways, namely, 11R/29L and 11L/29R, and two helipads. Being famed as a Foreign Trade Zone, Stockton Metropolitan Airport is mainly used for shipping purposes by agricultural and manufacturing companies.

Getting To Stockton By Road

Stockton is nestled between State Highway 99 and Interstate 5. The city is located north of I-205.

Interstate 5:
I-5 is a prime north–south route of America's Interstate Highway System. It originates at the Mexico–United States border (San Ysidro crossing), runs north across California and enters into Oregon south of the Medford-Ashland metropolitan area. Interstate 5 connects the major cities of Los Angeles, Sacramento, San Diego, Santa Ana, Stockton, and Redding. Golden State Freeway, Montgomery Freeway, Santa Ana Freeway, San Diego Freeway, and West Side Freeway are the other names for Interstate 5 in different areas.

State Route 99: More popularly known as Highway 99 or 99, State Route 99 is a north–south state highway in California. Its southern end begins at Interstate 5 near Wheeler Ridge and connects Stockton, Bakersfield, Turlock, Sacramento, Visalia, Madera, Fresno, Yuba City, Merced, Modesto, and Chico. Between Fresno and Modesto, State Route 99 is known as "100th Infantry Battalion Memorial Highway," and between Salida and Manteca, it is known as "442nd Regimental Combat Team Memorial Highway".

Interstate 205: I-205 connects I-5 with I-580 located in the San Joaquin Valley. Interstate 205 also provides access around the city of Tracy. It also connects the San Francisco Bay Area to the N San Joaquin Valley. This interstate runs from Altamont Pass nestled into the San Joaquin Valley take a turn from southeast to a junction with Interstate 5. From there runs parallel the California Aqueduct and Delta-Mendota Canal. It also connects with Interstate 580 and provides access to the Bay Area and connects Bay Area with Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, and Reno.

Interstate 580: Interstate 580 is nestled in Northern California. Interstate 580 connects San Francisco to the S San Joaquin Valley and Southern California. Beyond General Douglas MacArthur, this interstate is known as MacArthur Freeway, and beyond San Francisco Bay, it is known as Eastshore Freeway. I-580 connects San Quentin State Prison to cross San Francisco Bay, enters the city of Richmond and runs through the city to connect I-80 in Albany. From there, Interstate 580 runs south along the eastern shore of San Francisco Bay and enters the MacArthur Maze. From there, it runs through Oakland connecting San Leandro to Castro Valley. It also provides access to the Hayward Fault. In Castro Valley, it provides access to Dublin Canyon. Moreover, Interstate 580 also provides access between Los Angeles and San Francisco.

Getting To Stockton By Train

Amtrak's Stockton Station

It is nestled in Central Stockton and famed as one of the oldest stations located on the San Joaquin Route. San Joaquin Street Station provides access between Oakland and Bakersfield. This station features a ticket office, restrooms, enclosed waiting area, quik-trak kiosk, baggage service, baggage storage, wheelchairs, and wheelchair lift.
